With the No. 4 overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green.
Apparently the Bengals truly do not believe that Carson Palmer will retire. With Blaine Gabbert on the board, the Bengals decided to go with a wide receiver, perhaps in an attempt to convince Palmer to stay.
Green was rated by many as the best overall player on the board, so this might prove to be a bit of a value pick — an odd thing to say for the No. 4 overall pick in the draft.
This pick could also mean the Bengals are ready to cut ties with Chad (I refuse to call him Ochocinco) Johnson.
