Today at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Buffalo Bills revealed their new uniforms for the 2011 NFL season which show a strong influence from the team’s past. The major changes include going back to the white helmets, having the team logo above the nameplate on the back of the jersey and a metallic flake in the helmet that really makes them shine.

One aspect of the uniform presentation that really stood out was the lack of player presence. Since the players are locked out, Bills players could not model the uniforms. Instead, many servicemen were sporting the new digs.

Personally, I love the new uniforms. They have instantly become one of my favorite in the league. Then again, I often prefer the retro look when it comes to team unis.

How do the players feel about the uniform change? Well, at least one player gives them the thumbs up.

We’ll definitely look good in them,” Bills running back Fred Jackson said. “It’ll be a good change for us. I haven’t met a guy on the team that was real enthused about the uniforms we did have. I can’t think of one guy on our team that’s not going to like the new ones.

“I’m looking forward to putting them on. Out with the old, in with the new. Let’s start some new traditions.”
