Houston Texans RB Arian Foster Played 2010 Season With Knee Injury

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster burst onto the scene during the 2010-11 NFL season. Foster won the NFL’s rushing title as a result of his 1,616 yard performance. To make Foster’s performance during the season even more impressive, Matt Crossman of Sporting News points out that Foster secretly played with a torn meniscus in his knee.

Foster’s knee is now repaired and he should see an increase in speed and agility this upcoming season.

The former undrafted free agent was hesitant to tell his team of the injury because he did not want to lose his position as the team’s workhors. If Foster would have been 100% during the 2010 campaign, he would have been able to be a more dynamic back for the Texans offseason.

Expect big things from Foster on a healthy knee in 2011.
