Well, it is official. The Kansas City Chiefs will be without star running back Jamaal Charles for the remainder of the 2011-12 NFL season. Charles suffered a torn ACL during a run early in Sunday’s game where he took a few awkward steps out of bounds before colliding with the Detroit Lions mascot.
Head coach Todd Haley announced today that the team has placed Charles on the injured reserve list. Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster will take over rushing duties during Charles’ absence.
