With Arian Foster continuing to nurse his hamstring injury, Ben Tate will likely get the start on Sunday when the Houston Texans face off against the New Orleans Saints. The move was expected, but Foster’s comments to the Houston Chronicle all but sealed the deal.
“I want to be out there with my team, but this team is looking to advance further than we have before. I want to make sure I’m healthy for the right stretch,” Foster said. “I’ll take it day by day, mainly keeping it more and more healthy until I feel it’s 100 percent. … This is one of those injuries…you can’t push through it. The more you push, the worse it gets.”
That sounds like a guy who will be on the sidelines this week, so adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly. When it comes to non-fantasy football, the Texans have been doing just fine without Foster. They’re hoping Ben Tate can have another big day to help them get past the Saints.
