Well, who would have guessed they would read that headline before the start of the season? It isn’t a dream. You saw correctly. Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Moore’s award comes on the heels of the Dolphins winning their first game of the season.
In the win, Moore posted a spectacular QB rating of 147.5. He threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns as the team soared past the Kansas City Chiefs.
It is a nice moment for Moore, but he still has to know he will likely be replaced next year by either Stanford’s Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley of USC. If Moore has any luck moving forward, he can prove this isn’t a flash in the pan performance and continue to roll as he auditions for a job next season.
