Broncos D Coordinator Dennis Allen Favorite To Become Raiders Head Coach

With the end of another NFL season, the Oakland Raiders set about to make some changes to provide a fresh approach to their team’s tactics.  Many teams spend months scouting and scoping various candidates, only to let them fall to the wayside; the Raiders are not a part of that group. The buzz stirring about the Raiders and a possible importation of a new coach from the mountainous land of Colorado makes me ponder what makes Dennis Allen stand out amongst all other candidates?  Allen is a coach who has a past playing professionally- a skill he can translate into effectively understanding and outlining plays.  Known for his aggressive method of coordinating defensive plays, Allen has a proven track record of excellence- while working with the New Orleans Saints, the team ranked third amongst the league for interceptions.

Other incentives for attaining Allen include removing him from the Raider’s division rivals, the Denver Broncos.   With strong defensive plays and experience, there surely are a multitude of reasons as to why Dennis Allen is the top candidate.
