I don’t understand why Rams would pass on Blackmon for Richardson? One of the Rams biggest weakness is the receiving core! I understand that Richardson is a different kind of back than Steven Jackson but I think if Blackmon is there than that is who the Rams should take.

Love the pick by the Cowboys the secondary needs all the help it can get and the Chiefs pick sounds like a smart pick as well!

  • GizzyDJ

The main reason Ashley is because of the combination of Jeff Fisher and Brian Schottenheimer on the Rams coaching staff as I discussed on my previous post about that staff. It’s a theory and it’s one I may not stick to but at this point it is all about trying things out and see how they work.

As for the Cowboys – they need a cornerback badly enough to ignore the character issues of Dre. And personally I think DeCastro is the second best offensive lineman in the draft and that a team may trade up to get him but if the Chiefs can get him at 11 they are over the moon. I think the Chiefs may be the team that trades up to get him as their situation at guard is rather desperate.

  • Ben Worthy

Chris, why do you have the Browns trading two first round picks just to move up two slots to get RG3? He’ll still be on the board at fourth, there’s no way the Rams or Vikings would get him.

  • Chris Smith

To ensure that someone doesn’t jump over them and take him. Redskins, Dolphins and Seattle could all do it if the Browns don’t. If there is one thing I can guarantee it’s that RG3 won’t last till 4.

  • GizzyDJ

For the record – I believe the Browns will get back the Rams second round pick (2012 or 2013).
