Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice Will Not Hit Free Agency

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice will see his contract expire when the league year officially comes to an end, but do not expect the star running back to hit free agency. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti stated on Wednesday that the team will not let Rice walk.

“Ray will be a part of this football team next year, period,” Bisciotti said.

If Rice and the Ravens are unable to agree to new terms before the start of free agency, the franchise tag comes into play and will likely be slapped on Rice. The franchise tag value for running back this season will be around $8 million. Not a bad pay day for Mr. Rice.
