The Senior Bowl is a great time for players entering the NFL Draft to make their case to NFL scouts and general managers on why they are worth a draft selection. This year, one standout was Boise State running back Doug Martin.

Martin showed that he is a well-rounded back, during the week, and he now is receiving first-round grades by several scouts, according to SI.com’s Tony Pauline. If Martin does not go in the first-round, Pauline says he “won’t be far off” from the top 32 picks.

In a draft class where Trent Richardson is far and away the best running back prospect, there is no clear cut number two. Many believe that Miami’s Lamar Miller is the second best available prospect, but with Martin’s latest surge he could stake a claim on that ranking.
