The NFL announced the five players who have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2012 class, along with one senior committee selection. The class was headlined by long-time New York Jets running back Curtis Martin, who was joined by four linemen — Willie Roaf, Chris Doleman, Dermonti Dawson, Cortez Kennedy — and the senior committee’s choice, Jack Butler.

Just missing the cut was Jerome Bettis, Bill Parcells and Cris Carter. These three men will surely be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a matter of a couple short years.

To the six inductees of the 2012 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, congratulations.

Good to see Roaf get in. He and Shields made Priest and L.J. look like gods.
