There is an report on Twitter from NFL draft analyst, Joe Everett, that the top safety prospect — Mark Barron of Alabama — will be out until at least July with a double sports hernia.

Just heard some bad news on S Mark Barron #Alabama that he has a double sports hernia and will be out until at least July/August #NFLDraft

This news is disastrous for Barron, who was likely to be drafted as a mid-to late-first round pick. Now it is possible Barron will not be drafted in the first round.

How much will this injury hurt Barron’s draft stock?
