Heading into the 2012 NFL Free Agency period, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to make re-siging cornerback Richard Marshall a top priority. The Cardinals acquired Marshall via free agency just a season ago.

Marshall started at both cornerback and safety this past season and he was a big contributor to the team’s defense. With three interceptions, Marshall led the Cardinals in that statistical category, while coming in third on the team in tackles with 78.

Expect Marshall to be re-signed by the Cardinals, but he could be tempted to leave in the competitive market. Whatever the outcome, Marshall will see himself get a pay raise before the free agency period is over.
