Atlanta Falcons Decline ‘Hard Knocks’ Opportunity

The Atlanta Falcons were offered a spot as the featured team in this year’s installment of HBO’s Hard Knocks, which gives fans a behind the scenes look at a NFL training camp. However, it appears the Falcons have declined the offer in order to focus “exclusively on the football field.”

Per ESPN.com’s Pat Yasinskas:

"The source said the Falcons had extensive discussions at every level of the organization about appearing on the show, but eventually decided they wanted their focus for the 2012 season to be exclusively on the football field."

The same source went on to say that HBO has considered the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens as possible options for the series. The New York Jets have also expressed their interest in once again being featured on the program, though they have not received an offer.

Would the Falcons have been a good fit for Hard Knocks or was it smart to pass on the opportunity? What team would present the most compelling television and who would you like to see featured? Be sure to vote in the poll below and do so without grabbing a godd*** snack!
