We are just a few days past the conclusion of the 2012 NFL Draft and we already have a college player that may look to the NFL’s Supplemental Draft to fast track his NFL career. Boston College’s all-time leading rusher Montel Harris has been kicked off of the team for a repeated violation of team rules and could throw his name into the mix of the supplemental draft.
Harris has 3,735 yards and 27 touchdowns during his four years at Boston College and he definitely has NFL potential. However, Harris could scare off teams with his history of knee injuries.
The supplemental draft takes place over the summer. The supplemental draft is used to give players a chance who have seen a change in their eligibility status since the January deadline. If a team is to take Harris, they must forfeit the corresponding pick from the 2013 NFL Draft.
