NFL Rookie Minicamps Open Friday

NFL rookies that were drafted or signed as undrafted free agents are one step closer to their dream of making a NFL roster. First, they have to get through the upcoming rookie camps and show their teammates and coaching staff that they really do belong among the elite at the pro level.

Rookie minicamps are getting ready to kick off, with the first nine teams opening camp on Friday.

The first teams to take to the field and give their rookies a taste of pro football are the Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys.

A handful of teams getting camp underway picked in the top portion of the draft and are anxious to get their promising young stars out on the field.
