One thing that always speaks volumes about player popularity is the willingness of the fans to put the players name and number on their back. Every year, we get a glimpse at the top selling jerseys in the NFL and, while this year offers no major surprises, it goes to show that new faces in new places will always lead sales.
The top selling jersey from April 1st through May 28th is Peyton Manning. Manning signed with the Denver Broncos this offseason after parting ways with the Colts.
Manning is closely followed by the polarizing Tim Tebow, who was traded from Manning’s new team to the New York Jets. Rounding out the top five are first-round draft picks Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck, along with Super Bowl champion Eli Manning.
Again, there are no major surprises, but it goes to show that the Tebowmaniacs still are providing a cult-like following.
