Adrian Peterson Charged With Resisting Arrest

Star Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, who has been spending the offseason rehabbing from a torn ACL and MCL late last season, was arrested in Houston, Texas late last night and charged with resisting arrest.

UPDATE: According to most recent reports, Peterson was released from jail at 10:41 am CST on $1000 bond. There are few details at this time but it is understood that a search of some description was involved.

1400 EST: Pro Football Talk is reporting that Peterson was out late at a nightclub when police entered to get people to leave aound closing time. Peterson apparently wanted to go back for water and words were exchanged. Peterson was subsequently tackled to the ground by several officers and arrested for resisting arrest with no other charges pending.
