Robert Griffin III Agrees To Rookie Deal With The Washington Redskins

After weeks of negotiations and a myriad of anxious but pointless observations about the process, this morning Robert Griffin III came to an agreement with the Washington Redskins to become their new starting franchise quarterback.

How does RG3 feel? How do you think?

The deal, which will be signed later this morning, is for four years with the Redskins having the option to retain RG3 for a fifth year and is worth $21,119,098 with the entire amount guaranteed. The main bone of negotiation has been “off-set language” as was reported on last week and a source with knowledge has told Pro Football Talk there will be no off-set language in the deal.

This deal now sets the benchmark for other top rookies Andrew Luck and Trent Richardson who are also yet to sign but are expected to within the next ten days.
