Mike Wallace Will Report To Pittsburgh Steelers Tuesday

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace is expected to report to the team on Tuesday and sign his restricted free agent tender. The news came after two of Wallace’s teammate told Aditi Kinkhabwala of the NFL Network that Wallace would hop on a plane tonight to fly into Pittsburgh and report to the Steelers tomorrow.

Wallace will now play the 2012-13 season under his  $2.7 million salary. A long-term deal could still come in the future.

Now Wallace needs to turn his attention to learning new offensive coordinator Todd Haley’s playbook. The opener is less than two weeks away so expect Wallace to be cramming. At the very least, he should here his number called and be told to “go deep.”
