Andrew Luck Picks Up First NFL Victory With Win Over Minnesota Vikings

The first-overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft has earned his first win of his NFL career. Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts broke a deadlock with the Minnesota Vikings on a last second field goal from Adam Vinatieri to get the 23-20 win. Both quarterbacks — Luck and Christian Ponder — put together solid performances.

Luck tossed two touchdowns and threw for 224 yards. Ponder threw for 245 yards and added two touchdowns of his own.

It is great for Luck to get his first win under his belt and taste NFL victory. He will now be able to push forward without any extra weight on his shoulders.

The Colts take their winning momentum into next week for a home matchup against Blaine Gabbert and the Jacksonville Jaguars. For the Vikings, they have the tough task of taking on the NFC kings — the San Francisco 49ers.
