The Kansas City Chiefs are back to square one. Brady Quinn will miss Thursday night’s game against the San Diego Chargers and Matt Cassel is back in the team’s lineup as the starting quarterback. Quinn suffered a head injury in the Chiefs loss to the Oakland Raiders this past weekend.

Quinn was evaluated for a concussion and will not be ready by kickoff on Thursday. Quinn lasted just one week as the team’s starting quarterback.

The next question for head coach Romeo Crennel is whether or not Quinn will regain the starting job whenever he is healthy. The Chiefs seemed ready to move on from Cassel a week ago so it would not be a shock to see Quinn reinserted in the starting lineup. Of course, maybe we will get a glimpse of Ricky Stanzi before the Chiefs season comes to an end.
