Teams Interested In Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith

The Carolina Panthers are a team in turmoil and organizations around the league are well aware of their situation. In an effort to see if the Panthers are desperate enough to unload some of their star players for cheap, teams are calling the Panthers to gauge interest in potential trades.

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer passed along the news but made it clear that the Panthers were not interested and have turned down any inquiries made.

Before this recent report, many considered running back DeAngelo Williams as the most likely member of the Panthers to be moved prior to the trade deadline, however, the main interest appears to be in their speedy wide receiver Steve Smith.

Smith has previously asked for a trade from the organization but the two sides appear to be on good terms now. Smith recently signed a contract extension that should allow him to finish him his career in Carolina.
