When the Miami Dolphins roll onto the field to face the Indianapolis Colts later today, they are expected to have their starting quarterback under center.
Despite concerns earlier in the week on whether rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill would be ready to play on Sunday in the battle of first-round signal-callers against Andrew Luck, it looks like the former Texas A&M star is going to get the green light.
Per NFL Network’s Albert Breer, Tannehill is expected to dress for the game and is likely to get the start.
The issue for Tannehill will be how he can handle the pain so the team will put him through a rigorous pregame workout. All indications point towards Tannehill sucking up the pain and taking the field as the Dolphins look to advance to 5-3.
If Tannehill is unable to go, backup quarterback Matt Moore will get the call.
