Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jonathan Dwyer is expected to return to the field for the team’s Monday Night Football match up against the Kansas City Chiefs. Dwyer missed last week’s game with a quad injury, but head coach Mike Tomlin expects the running back to be available this week.
Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette passed along the news today.
Last week, in the absence of Dwyer and starting running back Rashard Mendenhall, Isaac Redman carried the rock with a lot of success. There is no word on who will be the Steelers work-horse back when all of the backs are healthy but the team is expected to go with the hot hand approach.
