It appears that the John Skelton experiment in Arizona may be over.
In the first half against the Atlanta Falcons, Skelton completed just two of seven passes for six yards. The Cardinals offenses received numerous gifts in the first quarter thanks to three interceptions by the Falcons, but they turned the opportunities into a mere 13 points.
With Skelton on the bench, rookie Ryan Lindley gets the call.
The rookie signal caller out of San Diego State was a sixth-round pick for the Cardinals. We’ll have to see if Lindley has any better luck under center.
