Chicago Bears Alshon Jeffery Out 2-4 Weeks After Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

It’s another tough break for Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. The second-round draft pick out of South Carolina returned from a broken hand on Monday night during the Bears embarrassing loss to the San Francisco 49ers. In his return to the field, Jeffery was once again injured.

Per the Chicago-Tribune:

Multiple sources tell the Tribune Jeffery will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday morning. Jeffery was injured in the 32-7 loss to the 49ers at Candlestick Park. Jeffery caught two passes for 15 yards in the game. He has 16 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

There is no timetable for Jeffery’s return and the exact details of his injury have not been revealed. Jeffery has 16 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
