Seattle Seahawks rookie safety Winston Guy has been suspended four games for violating the league’s drug policy regarding anabolic steroids and related substances after testing positive for a banned substance.
Word on the substance has not been released and cannot be released due to NFL rules.
Guy’s agent, Greg Lamont Linton did release a brief statement about the suspension and the sixth-round pick out of Kentucky is taking full responsibility for his actions.
“It is what it is. He is responsible for what he put in his body,” said Guy’s agent, per Curtis Crabtree of KJR.
Guy will not appeal the suspension, so he will be able to return to the field in four weeks. This season, Guy has played in two games.
