Houston Texans Held On In Overtime Over The Detroit Lions, 34-31

The Houston Texans improved to 10-1 after a seesaw overtime victory over the Detroit Lions, 34-31. Texans’ quarterback Matt Schaub completed 29 out of 48 attempts for 315 yards and wide receiver Andre Johnson came up big with nine catches for 188 yards.

The Lions (4-7) played well enough to win their 73rd Thanksgiving Day game, but the Texans held on after both teams missed field goals in extended play. Lions’ quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 31 out of a whopping 61 attempts for 441 and a touchdown.

For the Texans, this was their second overtime victory in consecutive weeks, after defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars, 43-37.
