The Dallas Cowboys could see the return of their starting running back DeMarco Murray when they face off against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles in a NFC East showdown on Sunday Night Football. Murray has been out of action since he suffered a sprained left foot October 14th at Baltimore.
Per the Dallas Morning News, Murray is “on track” to play Sunday night.
“He’s had two days of good work,” Cowboys offensive coordinator Bill Callahan said. “I talked to DeMarco [on Thursday] morning and I told him that I thought he flashed really well. He looked really good. I think he’s getting there.
“It’s mental. He has to be just right and he wants to be 100 percent. He wants to do well by the team and he doesn’t want to be any less than 100 percent. I got great confidence in him and I’m hopeful that we’ll see him Sunday.”
The return of Murray would be a major boost to the Cowboys offense as thy look to take down the Eagles and gt back in the thick of the NFC wildcard race.
