The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed that tomorrow’s scheduled game against the Carolina Panthers will go on as planned. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET. The team confirmed the news in a statement:

After discussions between the league office, Head Coach Romeo Crennel and Chiefs team captains, the Chiefs advised the NFL that it will play tomorrow’s game vs. the Carolina Panthers at its originally scheduled time.

It may be a controversial decision for the team to take the field, but they came together as one and made the decision as a team.

The fact that Crennel, who was very close with Belcher, and the team captains were a key part of the decision to play on Sunday should speak volumes for how important it is for the team to play on and deal with the tragedy.

The show must go on, but all of those affected will not forget the tragedy that took place at the team facility.
