The New York Jets fanbase has finally gotten their wish. The team benched quarterback Mark Sanchez after he went an embarrassing 10-for-21 with 97 yards and three interceptions. The three interceptions for Sanchez came in the Jets first five possessions.

With Sanchez on the bench, back up quarterback Greg McElroy took over under center.

It is convenient for the Jets that Tim Tebow was inactive for this game with his broken ribs when they finally decided to pull Sanchez. It’s safe to say Rex Ryan had this one planned out.
