Report: Pittsburgh Steelers' Ike Taylor To Miss 2 - 6 Weeks With Fibula Injury

Steelers starting cornerback Ike Taylor has only missed three games in his NFL career and he has not missed a game for the Steelers since 2004. Unfortunately for the Steelers defense and Taylor, the team fears that his consecutive games streak could be in jeopardy.

A team source told Pro Football Talk that the injury Taylor suffered against the Baltimore Ravens was to his fibula. Per the source, the Steelers fear it could be significant.

Early indications are that Taylor will miss two to six weeks with the injury.

If Taylor is forced to miss extended time, it would be a devastating blow to the defensive backfield. Taylor has been a key part of the Steelers secondary and his absence would result in a lot less “swag” roaming the field.

The potential loss of Taylor takes away from the excitement Steelers fans are feeling after third-string quarterback Charlie Batch led the team to a win over their division rival.
