New York Jets Will Attempt To Trade Mark Sanchez This Offseason

The Mark Sanchez experiment in New York appears to be coming to an end.

While reports are surfacing that back up quarterback Tim Tebow could be requesting his release or a trade at the end of the season, it is being reported that the Jets will be looking to trade former starter Mark Sanchez this offseason.

Sanchez is owed $8.25 million in guaranteed money next year and whichever team would take on Sanchez would likely have to take on $3 million of his salary.

It is unlikely that Sanchez will be traded and it appears that New York is more likely to release the former No. 5 overall pick, which would cost the team $17.1 million. New York has stuck by Sanchez in the past, but the positive relationship is now clearly on the rocks.
