When the New York Jets traded for Tim Tebow in the offseason, two other teams were interested — the St. Louis Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Now, it appears one of those teams will be getting their wish.
ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting that Tebow to the Jaguars is a “virtual certainty.” Per Mort, Jaguars owner Shad Khan is a huge Tebow supporter and he is determined to bring his man to Jacksonville.
That would leave the Jaguars with Blaine Gabbert and Tebow at quarterback. Neither of those signal-callers has been able to show they are worthy of an NFL starting gig.
