While the Philadelphia Eagles decided to keep Michael Vick round, the Buffalo Bills decided to give Nick Barnett his walking papers. Nick Barnett has started 32 conscutive games for the Bills at the outside linebacker postion but they’ve decided to go a different route.

Nick Barnett however handled the situation gracefully, he could’ve gone on a Titus Young type rant but he did a classy thing.

That can’t be said for most people in the NFL this year, but it might be a smart savvy move on Barnett’s part. It shows a level of maturity and emotional stability that an NFL franchise would desire. One NFL scout says that the top wide receiver free agent Dwayne Bowe scares him to death because of his run ins with coaches, teammates and combustible nature reminiscent of the locker room cancer masterpiece Terrell Owens.

He was entering the last year of a three year contract that worked out well for the Bills, 242 tackles, five sacks, three interceptions and four forced fumbles over the first two years. It could be an effort to get younger though, Barnett is going to be 32 in May, but should still find a home in the NFL.
