Last year we saw Andy Reid waffle between Nick Foles and Michael Vick at the quarterback position for the Philadelphia Eagles. Some thought Andy Reid could try and get Nick Foles to follow to Kansas City but now that they’ve traded for Alex Smith it seems as he’ll stay and they’ll have a quarterback competition.

And it might not come down to just those two, Dennis Dixon was quoted as saying he thinks he is in the mix. Which makes sense, he played at Oregon and the Eagles new head coach is his former coach at Oregon.

But running back LeSean McCoy thinks there is no competition at all, and he said so in an interview with Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com.

“I think Michael Vick is the starting quarterback,” McCoy said

“People forget, this is Michael Vick,” McCoy said. “He’s got a lot to prove this year, but he’s ready to roll. He knows people are questioning if he can get it done, and he’s gonna prove this year he can.”

Michael Vick only played and started in 10 games this season for the Eagles. His numbers were average at best, he completed only 58.1% of his passes for 2,362 yards while throwing 12 touchdowns to 11 interceptions.
