Coveted free agent safety Dashon Goldson could be headed out of the bay area and leaving the San Francisco 49ers. He is headed to Tampa Bay Buccanneers to visit with the organization according to Adam Schefter.
Rumors were coming out that the 49ers were interested in Ed Reed and former Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson was interested in San Francisco. Apparently that has led Dashon Goldson to feel unwanted in San Francisco.
Tampa Bay has significant cap space and can make a splash in free agency. They need significant secondary help and apparently are interested in acquiring Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis as well.
