We saw reports yesterday from CBS Sports Jason La Canfora that the Kansas City Chiefs were going to take Texas A&M LT Luke Joeckel with the first pick. But recently Luke Joeckel went on KTCK “The Ticket” in Dallas and said he doesn’t know where he is being drafted.

“Who knows? I’ve visited Jacksonville and I’ve had workouts with Kansas City, Oakland and Philadelphia, so who knows? All those teams look like great candidates for me, but they’re not really saying much,” Joeckel said.

Norm Hitzges asked about his nerves ahead of the big day, now less than a week away.

“Yeah, it really is. Just ready for Thursday to get here. And just sitting around not knowing where you’ll be living in the next month or so kind of freaks you out a little bit.”

And despite saying he grew up a Dallas Cowboys fan, Joeckel expressed a desire to be picked by Kansas City with that first pick.

“We’ll see. We’re praying for it, but it’s all up in the air right now. Not really hearing anything. Whatever happens is gonna be great though.”

But if he doesn’t get drafted with the first pick, it looks like he is confident he’ll go in the first 5 picks.

“Who knows? I’ve visited Jacksonville and I’ve had workouts with Kansas City, Oakland and Philadelphia, so who knows? All those teams look like great candidates for me, but they’re not really saying much.”
