Former Baltimore Ravens fullback Vonta Leach hopes to select his team in the next couple of weeks. He has had interest from a few teams and wants to get settled into his new environment soon.
“I know I can play in this league, and I’ve got some teams that are courting me,” Leach said Friday, according to the Daily Reflector. “In the next two weeks, I know where I’ll be playing.”
“There are a lot of teams out there that want me; about seven teams,” Leach said. “Me and my agent are going to take our time and see what’s the best fit for me. I’m probably going to play three more years before I hang it up.”
Leach is probably the best fullback in the league, but the Baltimore Ravens needed to cut costs and found Leach expendable.
The Houston Texans are interested in bringing Leach back. The Miami Dolphins also brought in Leach for a meeting. For all the teams that feature a fullback in their offensive system, they should strongly consider bringing in Leach.
I think it would be a huge addition if the Houston Texans were able to bring him in. The combo of Leach and Arian Foster in the backfield would be huge for that running attack.
