Giants Victor Cruz Expected To Sign Long-Term Deal Before Training Camp

With the release of the training camp schedule for the whole league comes a report that Victor Cruz will come to terms on a long-term deal before training camp.

Cruz signed his restricted free agent deal earlier in the offseason and has been working to get a long-term deal done with the Giants. There was chatter about Cruz possibly still sitting out training camp until he got a deal done. It sounds like they will have that deal completed though.

“Everybody I’ve spoken to expects that deal to absolutely get done, to a 100 percent degree of certainty, that Victor Cruz will have a new contract by the time the Giants open training camp,” Mortensen said on NFL Live. – Pro Football Talk

That is good news for Eli Manning and the Giants. They need to have one of their top weapons in camp and getting prepped for the season as soon as possible.
