Rookie LB Jarvis Jones Could Take Over Starting Gig With Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie LB Jarvis Jones was projected to go high in the draft, but once draft day hit Jones kept sliding down the first round. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers late in the first round and it seemed to be an excellent match for both parties.

The Steelers like to bring him along slowly, but it seems like Jones is working his way up the ladder pretty quick. He might overtake Jason Worilds for the starting gig on the right side of the 3-4 defense.

If Jones gets the opportunity to start this season, he definitely could make a huge impact on Dick LeBeau’s defense. He fits the system and team perfectly and LeBeau will make great use his skill set. Jones didn’t do well in the combine, but he showed up on the football field. That is all that really matters.
