The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without kicker Connor Barth for the season. he tore his Achilles tendon and will not be able to participate for the rest of the year. Who needs an Achilles tendon though? Not a kicker for sure!
To fill Barth’s spot on the roster, the Bucs have signed former Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes. Tynes should be a solid replacement for Barth on the roster. He has been in the league for 9 seasons and has a career field goal percentage of 81.5%.
It sucks to lose any players during the offseason, but this shouldn’t be a devastating injury for the Bucs. Barth is a solid kicker, but there still was a solid kicker for them to pickup during this time of the year. If it happened later in the season, they may have been stuck with scraps for a kicker.
