Dallas Cowboys DT Josh Brent Decides To Retire

Dallas Cowboys DT Josh Brent has decided to call it quits.

“This is the right decision for me, and something that I have given a lot of thought to,” Brent said in a statement.

“I am at a point where my main focus is all about getting the priorities in my life in order. Those priorities are more important than football. Doing the right things in life are more important than football. I love the game very much. I love my teammates, but this is the right thing for me to do.”

If you don’t remember Brent, he was indicted on intoxication manslaughter charges. He was driving while drunk and flipped his car, killing his teammate and passenger Jerry Brown.

He is in a tough spot. He has to get things in his life straight and football isn’t going to be in his immediate future. He has to deal with a lot of different things at the moment.
