Denver Broncos Release LB Joe Mays

The Denver Broncos have released LB Joe Mays today. Denver fans have seen this coming for a while and were probably wondering why it took so long to happen.

Mays is great at run support from his middle linebacker position, but he was terrible in pass coverage. That is a tough skillset during this pass happy time in the NFL.

Mays likes to lay the wood and sometimes will pick up a bad penalty in games, but he will be useful to some team that is searching for some help at linebacker.

With Von Miller facing a 4-game suspension, I wonder if the Denver Broncos are looking to use the cap space to add a pass rushing rental.
