Bucs, Williams Agree To $40M Extension

Mike Williams, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed on a new deal that takes him through 2018. Williams, had one year left on his rookie contract and was in line for a new deal. He has been an average wide out in his first three seasons in the NFL.

Williams has 23 career total touchdowns, but has failed to reach 1,000 yards in a single season.  Although he has totaled 900 plus in two, he is yet to break the century mark.  With his big body, he is bound to keep piling up touchdowns, and strive for the Bucs all time record of 34. Williams has a very good shot of breaking the record considering he is only 11 away, and that he still has a lot of football left to play.

Williams made up for a poor 2011 campaign by going out and grabbing 9 touchdowns last year.  In his three year career, Williams has not missed a game a single game.  If he can stay healthy and prove that 2011 was a fluke, this will turn out to be a great signing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mike williams doesn’t throw the ball to himself. And doesn’t fire the coaches while trying to develop as a young player.

    I’ve watched this guy since he’s been a rookie. He’s a gamer.
