Houston Texans Rookie LB Sam Montgomery reported to camp in terrible shape. He was placed on the Non-Football Injury list to start out training camp because of his poor conditioning.

This is the same linebacker that said he didn’t always play hard during the NFL Combine. That was a stupid move and now he comes into shape a mess? The red flags are flying.

J.J. Watt said that he spoke to the rookie and that he will get things right. Watt is taking the lead on this and I believe that if Montgomery slacks off, then Watt will find a way to get him motivated. That is the type of attitude that you want from the leader on the defense.
