Word out of Denver is that Von Miller didn’t test positive to a drug test. That is not the reason why he has been suspended for 4 games by the league. There are other ways that you can get that suspension that wouldn’t require Miller to test positive. He could have dipped out on the test or shown up late on multiple occasions. Those could get him suspended. The true reasoning on the suspension is not clear and will not be clear until the appeal process is completed.

Currently, Miller will continue to practice with the team in hopes of playing on the opening day of the season. The Denver Broncos are favorites to go to the big game and Von Miller is a huge key to the defense. If he is unable to play in 4 games during the year, it wouldn’t kill the Broncos, but it could mess with their playoff seeding. The Broncos want to go into the playoffs with home field advantage. Missing their top defensive player because he was late for a test (or whatever reason he was suspended) could hurt their chances at home field advantage.
