The Denver Broncos are insanely thin at the center position. Today, Dan Koppen left practice early with a torn ACL and will likely miss the entire season. He was already filling in for their starter, J.D. Walton, who suffered a setback in his comeback from an ankle injury. Now it is on to the backup of the backup of the backup, since C.J. Davis went down with an injury on Saturday. That is a key position for the Broncos to go on without.
Peyton Manning might want to give a call to his old buddy Jeff Saturday who just retired. It probably isn’t much of an upgrade, but it still is someone Peyton would feel comfortable with. One of the leaders on the offensive line is out. Someone will have to step up and make things happen.
The Broncos signed Steve Vallos already. The needed someone with some experience for the position. Vallos has been in the league for 6 seasons and has started 9 games. He will be tossed into the fire real quick.
