The Baltimore Ravens have lost TE Dennis Pitta for the season. It is not a good season to be a tight end in the AFC. This happening on the same day that the Eagles lose WR Jeremy Maclin for the year. What a tough day of work. Both players were entering contract years also.

The Ravens and Joe Flacco will be minus one weapon on offense already this season. That is a tough loss to start out the year.

Pitta fractured his hip during practice when he collided with a teammate on a jump ball. Sucks losing players in practice.

“Obviously he has been a very, very productive guy for us, and he’s made a lot of big plays around here. We’ll see what happens. Somebody is going to have to step up, and we do have some capable guys all across the flanks.” – Jim Caldwell

Ed Dickson will be the next man up and will have to make some good things happen.
